Perhaps it is better to look at your phrases in context:

1. If this is important to you, be persistent...: Eğer senin için önemliyse, ısrarcı ol...

2. I hope everyone passes his/her exam successfully...:
  "Umarım herkes sınavda başarılı olur..."
or
  "Umarım herkes sınavını başarıyla geçer" (This is more literal...)
or
  "İnşallah herkes sınavı geçer..." (This is more natural, and colloquial)
