I often meet this word in informal conversation, but nobody can translate it.

Hi Lati. "Ya" is not a statement, it means "but, and, while"
Sen git ya ben daha sonra gelece=im - You go and I will come a little bit later

but in a spoken language YA is often used like a interjection, emotion.
